We Believe
- The Scripture is our sole source of authority for faith and practice.
- There is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- In the deity of Jesus Christ, being the full revelation of God and being reconciled to God through Him as the means of receiving God’s grace and forgiveness.
- In the redemptive work of Christ upon the Cross, who died for our sins, resurrected from the dead, and calls us now into a life of discipleship.
- In ministry and mission partnerships through our voluntary affiliations with the Roanoke Valley Baptist Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
- In the equality of all believers before God in Christ and in the leadership of the local church, that in Christ there “is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female”.
- In the cherished Baptist distinctives of the priesthood of all believers, congregational autonomy, believer’s baptism, religious freedom, and the liberty of the conscience.
- That all persons are created in the image of God and the supreme ethic of love should guide the thoughts and actions of believers
