Our Youth are vital to Virginia Heights. Under Rev. Rick Pinkerman’s direction, we try to disciple, encourage, and support them as they navigate those critical teenage years.

There are several ways youth can connect at Virginia Heights:

Sunday School
Rick Pinkerman teaches this class for middle and high schoolers. Class starts at 9:45am every Sunday.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
After fellowship time, students are broken up into smaller groups to study the Bible.

Volleyball
Each spring Virginia Heights participates in the Roanoke Valley Baptist Association Youth Volleyball League. During the summer and fall months, we utilize the courtyard across Grandin Theater to play and practice together.

Youth Trips
Every fall we go to Hearts on Fire in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Other trips and activities include Fields of Faith at Northside High School, Kings Dominion, Christian concerts, and other fun and uplifting events.

Youth Group Announcements

• Winter Sports Sign-Ups: Those high school athletes planning on participating in the Virginia Sports Spectacular (W0rd of Life Basketball Marathon) must register with Rick by February 6th.
• Those wishing to participate in coed volleyball must register with Rick this month (January)
• The “Souper Bowl” party is scheduled for February 5, 6:00pm, Fellowship Hall

Children’s Ministry

• The Game Room is now complete on the top floor of the church!!
• Family Night- February 25th Time TBD- Lee Hi Bowling Lanes
